walk with me by the water

A friend sent me an e-mail about a poem he liked about growing old but then he said: But i forgot the words. well I looked it up and found it. You can find almost anything on the internet so here it is:

WALK WITH ME BY THE WATER

Aged and slow are the steps I take,
to the lake where the water flows free.
Humbled am I, by the quiet beauty,
that God has blessed and given me.

Through the years I will remember
the goodness of my life, not the bad.
It takes only the peace of the water
to appreciate the love that I've had.

There is this miracle of the water,
that makes our lives worth the while.
These memories will live on forever,
and bring with them, surely a smile.

Come walk with me by the water,
hold me and make my life shine.
We are given the gift of the moment.
it was never to be simply mine.

No Christmas tree here but lots of lights. The display is visible from the street. The neighbors here have gone all out and I need to compete a little.

Cinema screw up

Yesterday I went to the Cinemax theater to see the Metropolitan OPera Live in HD broadcast of "The Tempest"

however they couldn't connect to the satelite feed and they couldn't show the program. The returned my admission and gave me a free pass for another event and let me see the new Bond film "Skyfall"

It was great! I will be able to see "The Tempest" in an encore showing.

A Dream ! 11/11/2012

Christmas is coming !
Last night I dreamed that a ladyfriend told me that the big name department store was having a return old used christmas gift event and she was heading down there with a big bag of gift wrapped used gifts. I filled a big bag with mostly old cd's and used stuff that would be good for the goodwill store and headed down there after her. She was refused at the customer service because she had a wrong address.(?) I proceeded to another desk on a different floor. 
I noticed on the way that the store was full of children dressed in elf costumes. The store is paying them to spread Christmas cheer! They were running around out of control and having a great time 
The people at the desk scanned the upc codes on all my stuff and cut me a check for 1/2 the original retail cost of the items.
The dream was so colorful and realistic! 

Theater Season Has Started

The leaves are falling and the theater season has started.
Last Saturday I saw the elixir of Love Live in HD at the Cineplex theater it was a wonderful production.
two weeks ago we saw "Sister Act" at he Mervish Theater in Toronto. It was very funny..

We had our first Frost of the season and I brought the fragile hibiscus plants inside. They are budded and will bloom inside all winter

My Olympic Moments (Daydream)

I have been watching the 2012 olympic games and have found myself caught in the fantasy of the excitement much like Walter Mitty.

I am on the podium receiving my golden metal. I don't want to wake up hearing the anthem and the roaring of the croud
